Minutes of Meeting – Oct 15, 2021

Distribution of Uniforms
On the duration of the meeting uniforms were distributed for the members who have not yet claimed their uniforms. However there was a missing size for Mr. Estioco which size is double extra large (XXL). The uniform was switched to a previous member whose size did not fit and had to swap to another size. The missing uniform will then need to be included on the next batch. Dr. Del Fierro purchased one (1) extra large (XL) which was available (it was supposedly for the late Mr. Cañas). Mr. Abellar also ordered two medium (M) size tshirts which will be included on the second batch.

Retired Badge and Picture with Frame
Dr. Del Fierro suggested that deceased members will have their picture along with their VWCP badge to be framed and hung on the club’s headquarters. The members agreed with the suggestion and Mr. Tampus will conduct an inquiry for the pricing of the Frames and Pictures to be followed by the budget request to the club treasury.

Events for the Remainder of Year 2021
Mr. Tampus suggested there should be at least one bug run on November then the Year-End Party on December. Mr. Estioco stated that we can have a short Bug Run to Busy Hands Happy Heart at Manuel Jangga, Tugbok Davao City to celebrate his birthday come end of the month and he will sponsor roasted pig. Mr. Tenebro Jr. also suggested the club will have the farther bug run at Kaligaran Beach, Manikling San Isidro Davao Oriental. The body decided that the club will do the bug run to Manikling San Isidro and move Mr. Estioco’s birthday celebration together with the Year-End party in December instead. In summary the events that were agreed are as follows:

November Bug Run to Kaligaran Beach, Manikling San Isidro
Date: November 20, 2021

The details on the November Bug Run will then be determined on the next meeting.

New Memberships
Mr. Tampus asked about the initiative to invite new members to the club but since it is still a pandemic period we will only cater for referral basis in the mean time. Mr. Abellar seconded the motion.
